monitored Alarm Systems

Alarm System MonitoringIf you need to protect a particularly valuable property or an isolated building, it may be worth investing in a monitored alarm system. In the event of alarm activation the alarm system automatically contacts an Alarm Receiving Centre who can then alert key holders, Power Security Installations or the police.

Monitored alarm systems operate through a variety of mechanisms including:

The Speech Dialer - is the most basic form of Monitoring, if your alarm is activated it will phone several home or mobile phone numbers and alert them to the activation of the alarm system. The Telephone line is not monitored so if the phone line is cut or damaged then no signals can be sent. If you have gone to the trouble and expense of installing a "state of the art" intruder alarm system, why should you have to rely on neighbors or passers-by to notify the Police?

Digital Communicator - a standard telephone links the alarm system with our 24 hour Alarm Receiving Centre. In the event of alarm activation the connection is made by the alarm system dialing a dedicated number and transmitting a high speed coded message. This data provides specific details of the alarm type/location and identity of the premises.

BT RedCARE Intelligent Alarm Signaling - through the use of non-dialing technology (no call charges) which continuously monitors the phone line, Our 24 hour alarm receiving centre is alerted in the event of alarm activation or a disruption to the telephone connection.

BT RedCARE (GSM) / DualCom Vodaphone Paknet - uses a combination of standard telephone technology and a radio connection to alert our 24 hour alarm receiving centre to an activation. Should one communication link fail or being disrupted, an alert will be issued automatically by the alarm system.

Audio and CCTV Monitoring - Advanced alarm systems include an audio link, allowing our 24 hour alarm receiving centre to hear any activity within a building in the event of an alarm activation, to confirm that an intruder is present and pass on vital details to assist the police in their response. Some alarms also incorporate CCTV technology to extend the monitoring capability to provide a visual confirmation of a genuine activation.
